Prestianni on the radar of several English giants
Gianluca Prestianni’s name is starting to circulate in the Premier League. At 20, the Argentine winger at Benfica has made an impressive start to the season and is reportedly attracting the attention of several English clubs.
A strong start to the season
Having joined Benfica in January 2024 after playing for Vélez Sarsfield, Prestianni continues to develop in Portugal. After finishing the 2025-2026 season with 3 goals and 5 assists in 29 league appearances, the Argentine is already posting significantly more impressive statistics this season. In twelve appearances, he has scored 8 goals and provided 3 assists.
According to TEAMtalk, several Premier League sides are now tracking his progress. Chelsea are reportedly particularly attentive to the young player’s situation. Manchester United and Tottenham are also said to have expressed interest, as are Newcastle United and Brighton. However, these clubs will have to contend with the player’s contractual situation, as he remains under contract with Benfica until June 2029.
Benfica want to act proactively
The Portuguese club, for its part, intends to keep Prestianni for as long as possible. Benfica would therefore like to offer him a contract extension in order to strengthen its position in the face of interest from abroad.
Having been capped twice by Argentina, the former Vélez player could therefore quickly become one of the most sought-after young players in the Portuguese league.
