In a recent statement, Didier Deschamps expressed his happiness for Ousmane Dembélé just days after his brace in Le Classique against OM at the Parc des Princes.

Last night, following the Nations League draw, Didier Deschamps took the time to discuss several individuals within the French national team. The case of Ousmane Dembélé was brought up. Blazing during the latest Le Classique with a brace against Olympique de Marseille (5-0), the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner once again impressed. The France head coach sees Dembélé’s momentum at Paris Saint-Germain as a strong signal ahead of the major international competitions to come.

“Those repeated injuries, the time it takes to recover... I think emotionally, being a Ballon d'Or winner is no small thing. He’s found his spark again, his legs are back, and he’s showing real efficiency and composure. That’s great. He’s playing so many matches, but it’s really good to see him back at his best,” declared the coach.
