On Saturday, Achraf Hakimi bagged a brace against Stade Brestois. The Moroccan star shared his thoughts after this latest masterclass.

Yesterday, Achraf Hakimi once again played well beyond his usual defensive role, despite starting as a full-back. He was seen almost as a winger, tirelessly making runs up and down the right flank. But even more impressively, this time he donned the striker’s hat. Perfectly picked out with a through ball from Vitinha just before the half-hour mark, Hakimi broke the deadlock with a clinical low volley (29', 1-0). Ten minutes later, he struck again—this time capitalizing on brilliant work from Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian’s shot was initially denied by Majecki, but the rebound fell for Hakimi, who coolly slotted home his second (39', 2-0).

Hakimi’s double secured PSG a commanding 3-0 victory, putting an end to their winless run in Ligue 1. After the match, Hakimi reflected: "I feel great. The coach is working to put all the players in the best possible conditions. I’m in sync with my teammates. It’s nice to be nominated for individual awards, but if the African Ballon d’Or comes, it will be a pleasure."
