PSG: good news for the Parc des Princes

Following the intense heat of the summer and the appearance of a fungus that severely damaged the pitch, PSG has begun replacing the turf at the Parc des Princes.

The reigning double European champions had to look abroad for a quick solution to ensure the stadium would be ready to host AS Monaco. That match is scheduled for Friday, September 4. And here’s the good news: the first rolls have arrived this week at the Parisian venue. Installation began this Wednesday.

According to CulturePSG, these turf rolls were sourced from England and transported by truck straight to the Parc des Princes. The capital club turned to Hewitt Sportsturf, a company with over 45 years of experience in professional sports turf and based in the south of Leicester.

Trucks from the English company were already in front of the stadium as early as Monday morning, before the turf rolls were finally brought inside the venue this Wednesday.
