PSG officially announces Ferran Torres
It's now official: Ferran Torres is a Paris Saint-Germain player. At 26, the Spanish forward leaves FC Barcelona after four and a half seasons in Catalonia to join the French champions.
A €50 million transfer
PSG confirmed Torres' arrival on its official website. The player has signed a contract running until June 2031. According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is worth around €50 million.
Arriving at Barcelona from Manchester City in January 2022, Torres never fully established himself as a regular starter. Nevertheless, his efficiency and versatility allowed him to remain an important part of the Catalan rotation.
65 goals with Barcelona
Ferran Torres leaves Barça after playing 207 official matches, tallying 65 goals and 23 assists. With Spain, his record is also impressive: 65 caps and 25 goals.
In Paris, he will be reunited with Luis Enrique, whom he already knows from his time with the Spanish national team. This transfer of Ferran Torres comes after an impressive World Cup campaign with Spain.
