PSG: Samir El Mourabet on the radar of the French giant
Paris Saint-Germain are keeping a close watch on Samir El Mourabet, the young Moroccan midfielder currently plying his trade at RC Strasbourg.
Having burst onto the senior stage in the colours of the Alsace club, the 20-year-old has drawn admiring glances from a number of major European sides. With his contract running until June 2030, he now stands as a considerable asset for Strasbourg — one that could yield a significant financial windfall in an upcoming transfer window.
A rising star, sought after by everyone
Having come through the ranks at Strasbourg, Samir El Mourabet took a significant step forward last season. Under Gary O'Neil's guidance, the Moroccan midfielder gradually earned his coach's trust until he had firmly established himself as a regular fixture in the Alsace side's squad.
He was handed starting berths on 25 occasions in Ligue 1 and was also afforded substantial playing time in the Conference League. His European adventure ended at the semi-final stage against Rayo Vallecano, yet his performances confirmed his potential and bolstered his standing in the transfer market.
Since the start of the 2026/27 campaign, El Mourabet has continued his upward trajectory. He already has two starts to his name from four league fixtures — a sign that Strasbourg remain committed to giving him a place in their sporting project.
