PSL club to assess highly-rated Namibian duo

Foot Africa has learnt that Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Gomora United are set to assess goalkeeper Mervin Kasetura and right winger Vevangapi Mbuende.
The pair is currently in the books of Namibian heavyweights and reigning champions African Stars FC, who are set to compete in the CAF Champions League next season.
Kasetura, a non-capped Namibia international, is understood to be in search of a new challenge and greener pastures, having joined African Stars in January 2022.
Meanwhile, Mbuende, who made his Brave warriors debut during the COSAFA Cup in June 2025, caught the eye in the Debmarine Namibian Premier League last season.
The 20-year-old attacker signed for the nine-time Namibian champions on a free transfer from UNAM FC in July 2025, making instant impact at the Windhoek-based side.
Notably, Mbuende previously traveled to South Africa to undergo assessment at Betway Premiership club Stellenbosch FC back in April, but failed to impress coach Gavin Hunt.
Now, sources have confirmed to this publication that the highly-rated Namibian duo is expected to touch down in Mzansi in a bid to secure contracts with Gomora United.
Having finished 13th in the Motsepe Foundation Championship in their debut campaign last season, it remains to be seen whether Gomora will offer the pair deals for next term.
