Sevilla footballer Rafa Mir, currently on loan at Elche, is facing grave criminal allegations that have thrust his career into uncertainty. The case stems from a September night last year, following a Valencia match, where the athlete allegedly committed two acts of sexual assault against a 21-year-old woman.

According to court documents detailed by Las Provincias, the incidents unfolded after Mir returned home with two women and a friend. The alleged assault reportedly began by the pool before continuing inside the residence.

A judge has since affirmed that investigators hold substantial evidence supporting the accusations, moving the case beyond mere suspicion.

In response to the serious nature of the charges, judicial authorities have imposed strict measures against the footballer. After being detained and spending several days in custody, Mir was released under a €13,500 bail arrangement. The court additionally confiscated his passport and issued a restraining order, barring him from coming within 500 meters of the accuser as the legal process continues to unfold.
