Rashford speaks about his future after failed Barça move
Interview
Marcus Rashford has spoken out about his situation following the collapse of a permanent transfer to FC Barcelona. The Catalan club decided not to activate the €30 million buyout clause with Manchester United, leaving the English international's future up in the air.
When asked about what comes next, the 28-year-old delivered a measured response, choosing to focus on the present:
I live in the present. Before the World Cup, I was very clear with everyone involved: I wanted my situation resolved beforehand. If not, I would wait until the end of the tournament. Now, I want to be fully focused here.
Despite this setback with Barça, the striker could return to Manchester United at the end of his loan spell. His coach, Michael Carrick, is reportedly ready to give him another chance at the start of pre-season preparations. Still under contract with the Red Devils for another two seasons, Rashford remains tied to Manchester United, though several options may open up for him after the World Cup.
