This is bad news for RC Lens and Abdallah Sima. Two days before hosting Olympique Lyonnais at Bollaert on matchday 6 of Ligue 1, the Artois club has lost a key attacking player.

Set to miss around ten matches

Abdallah Sima suffered the injury during the September–October international break with Senegal. Tests carried out upon his return to the club confirmed a thigh injury. The Racing Club de Lens has announced that he will be unavailable until the end of November. The 25-year-old forward is expected to miss around ten matches. It is a setback after he had made a strong start to the season. Sima has made 7 appearances, scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in all competitions.

Key player for the Lions of Teranga

Sima had also been playing an important role for the Lions. After providing an assist against Mozambique (1-1), he played 65 minutes against Ethiopia (1-0) in the first two rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers under Patrick Vieira.
