RC Lens: Yannick Cahuzac laments Abdallah Sima's injury
Yannick Cahuzac did not hide his disappointment. At a press conference ahead of hosting Lyon on matchday 6 of Ligue 1, the coach of Racing Club de Lens spoke about Abdallah Sima's injury.
"A major setback"
"We have another piece of bad news with Abda, who returned from international duty injured. It's a major setback," the coach said at the press conference. The 25-year-old striker returned from Senegal's September–October camp with a thigh injury. He is expected to be out until the end of November.
A profile the team will miss
For Cahuzac, the loss is a sporting one. "It's a major blow because he has a profile combining depth and speed that is really interesting," he stressed. However, the coach wants to move on. "That said, we have a squad with great players, and that gives others the opportunity to show what they can do. It's a shame because he was really playing well," he concluded.
At 25, Abdallah Sima had made a strong start to the season, with 2 goals and 2 assists in 7 appearances in all competitions.
