RC Lens: M’Bala Nzola likely to return to Fiorentina

M’Bala Nzola's stint at Lens is likely coming to an end. Loaned last summer by Fiorentina with a purchase option set at 10 million euros, the Angolan striker has not managed to convince over the long term.

His season started promisingly: 19 matches, 6 goals, 1 assist in Ligue 1. But his performance declined, giving way to inconsistencies and disciplinary issues. According to La Voix du Nord, his recent outbursts have earned him a financial penalty, with a reduction in his ethics bonus. Faced with this lack of consistency, the Lens management is seriously considering not activating the purchase option. Unless there is a dramatic turnaround, Nzola is expected to return to Fiorentina at the end of the season.
