Despite being in the starting lineup for Real Madrid’s third pre-season friendly against Fiorentina, Eduardo Camavinga showed signs of struggle that are beginning to draw attention. The French midfielder did contribute to Madrid’s opening goal with an assist, but that positive moment couldn’t overshadow a performance that’s being viewed as worrying.

A lack of rhythm, technical inaccuracies, hesitation in decision-making, and some uncharacteristic turnovers painted the picture of a Camavinga still far from his best. One particular sequence—a miscontrolled ball widely shared on social media—only amplified criticism regarding his current form. This latest outing failed to earn him crucial points with Mourinho. With several key players absent, Camavinga had a golden chance to impress, but he simply couldn’t seize the opportunity.
