Real Madrid confirm Ibrahima Konaté signing

Real Madrid continue their ambitious transfer window. After securing the arrival of Bernardo Silva, the Spanish club officially announced the signing of Ibrahima Konaté this Thursday.

The 27-year-old French international joins Los Merengues after several successful seasons with Liverpool. The central defender has signed a contract tying him to Real Madrid until June 30, 2030. In a statement, the Spanish champions simply announced they had reached an agreement with Konaté for the next four seasons. His arrival further bolsters Madrid’s defensive line.

Having made more than 180 appearances for Liverpool, the Frenchman won several trophies with the Reds, including the Premier League, the FA Cup, and two League Cups. Renowned for his strength in duels and athletic qualities, he became one of the pillars of the English club’s defense. Real Madrid continue to build a formidable squad for the years ahead.
