Real Madrid: Endrick seriously closing in on a departure!
Roma are stepping up their efforts to sign Endrick, whose situation at Real Madrid is becoming concerning after just four minutes of playing time this season.
Endrick’s future at Real Madrid could take a new turn as early as the next winter transfer window. According to Corriere dello Sport, AS Roma are seriously working on the Brazilian striker’s arrival and have reportedly made him one of their priorities for January.
The Italian club’s sporting director has reportedly already made progress on the deal, while the player and his father would welcome a move to Italy. Contacts had already been established during the summer, before José Mourinho ultimately decided to keep the former Palmeiras prodigy in his squad.
Just four minutes under Mourinho
Since then, the Brazilian’s sporting situation has barely changed. According to Real Madrid’s official statistics, Endrick has played just one match since the start of the 2026-2027 season, for only four minutes of playing time. He came on right at the end of the 3-2 victory over Elche in La Liga.
He has therefore yet to make a single start under Mourinho and has recorded neither a goal nor an assist for Los Merengues this season. It is inevitably a difficult situation for a 20-year-old striker who needs regular playing time to continue his development.
Another loan move had already been discussed in recent days, after a summer in which Roma had already tried to attract him.
Roma pushing, Juventus also interested
The move to Rome now appears to be one of the most concrete options. Endrick could notably reunite with his compatriot Wesley and play in a league where Roma are competing near the top of Serie A.
Juventus are also monitoring the situation and would be pushing for a loan deal with an option to buy. Real Madrid, for their part, would prefer a temporary move in order to retain control over their young striker’s future.
The Lyon precedent makes a case for another loan
Another loan spell would not be new for Endrick. During the second half of last season, his time at Olympique Lyonnais allowed him to regain rhythm and confidence after a difficult first half of the campaign in Madrid. His revival in France was spectacular, with seven goals and seven assists recorded during that period.
This successful experience in Ligue 1 could influence Madrid’s thinking. If Mourinho does not give him more minutes by January, a temporary move to Rome could quickly become the preferred solution for all parties.
