Real Madrid: FC Barcelona summons Florentino Pérez to court

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez is set to face justice. FC Barcelona is the club accusing him.

As a reminder, last June, FC Barcelona filed a complaint against Florentino Pérez, the president of Real Madrid. The Catalan club accuses the Merengue chief of slander and defamation during several media appearances in which he accused Barça of buying referees.

According to Sport, the Spanish courts have summoned Florentino Pérez to a conciliation hearing on November 25 at a Madrid court. FC Barcelona's objective is for Florentino Pérez to retract his statements and take back his comments. If the Madrid president fails to appear or refuses to back down, Barça will proceed with a criminal complaint.
