Real Madrid: Florentino Pérez holds a grudge against FC Barcelona

Real Madrid and FC Barcelona remain far from any real reconciliation.

In an interview with El Pais, Florentino Pérez revisited his fallout with the Catalan club following the eruption of the Negreira affair.

"Did I say that Real Madrid and Barça should help each other? If Barça were a normal club, why wouldn’t we help each other? But when you discover they paid the vice-president of the referees’ association for 20 years—That’s when everything changed for me, and I was the first to react. I have never set foot in Camp Nou since. I won’t stop until everything is made clear. And the Federation? And LaLiga? What have they done? Nothing. They both show up to cover their tracks, but ask no questions.", declared the Real Madrid president.
