Real Madrid: José Mourinho saddened for Vinicius Jr
Vinicius Jr has been struggling for several months. Despite all this, the Brazilian international continues to receive José Mourinho’s support.
Asked at a press conference on Friday about meritocracy and the possibility of dropping certain established players to the bench, the Real Madrid coach defended his Brazilian winger. José Mourinho said he could sense his player’s suffering and his determination to rediscover the level that had enabled him to lead Los Merengues to the top.

"What saddens me is understanding that he wants to become the Vinicius who wins and helps win matches and titles again. It hurts me to feel the pain he is experiencing. He is an extraordinary young man who wants to rediscover his best level. He is a young man who deserves to be helped because he wants to become the Vini who brought Real Madrid so much happiness again," the Merengues coach told reporters.
