Real Madrid fans are holding their breath. Kylian Mbappé is injured, and his coach Xabi Alonso has offered an update on his condition.

Kylian Mbappé sparked concern among the Merengue faithful after he was forced to leave the pitch due to injury late in the match against Villarreal (3-1). However, the French striker's situation appears to be nothing serious. According to El Chiringuito, he is suffering from a mild ankle sprain. Xabi Alonso explained that it's simply some discomfort.

"Mbappé has some discomfort in his ankle, Mastantuono is dealing with fatigue. We'll see, we'll keep monitoring them. They're now joining their national teams," the Spanish manager told the press. COPE reassures that Kylian Mbappé will indeed join up with the French national team for the October international break.
