Real Madrid: Leipzig announces Yan Diomandé's return to training

After being sidelined for several days due to illness, Yan Diomandé has rejoined the Leipzig training camp as negotiations over his transfer continue.

Yan Diomandé is back with his teammates. Previously absent from RB Leipzig's camp due to an infection, the Ivorian winger was unable to travel with the squad to Austria or take part in the friendly against SC Verl.

Now fully recovered, the 19-year-old has rejoined the camp and resumed training under Leipzig's coaching staff. His return puts an end to speculation about his absence, which was officially attributed to his health and not to ongoing transfer talks.

Still no green light for medical tests

This return, however, might be short-lived. According to Florian Plettenberg, RB Leipzig and Real Madrid have entered the final phase of negotiations for his transfer.

The deal could reach between €130 and €140 million, including bonuses. Both clubs are still ironing out the payment structure, and no final agreement has been announced yet.

As a result, Diomandé has not yet been cleared to leave the training camp and undergo his medical in Madrid. Pending any breakthrough in the coming days, the Ivorian international continues his preparations with Leipzig as usual. Should the deal go through at the reported figures, it would become the most lucrative sale in the German club's history.
