Real Madrid prepare Jacobo Ramón’s return

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing Jacobo Ramón’s return next summer. According to MadridistaHoy, the Spanish club would like to activate their buy-back clause with Como in order to bring back the young centre-back, who is also being monitored by several Premier League clubs.

A €10 million buy-back clause

Having come through Real Madrid’s academy, Jacobo Ramón joined Como in summer 2025 for a fee of €2.5 million, plus bonuses. However, the Madrid club had taken care to include a buy-back clause as well as a 50% sell-on percentage.

According to the reports, this clause, set at €8 million last summer, is expected to rise to €10 million at the end of the current season. Real Madrid would thus have the option of bringing the defender back at a controlled cost.

Notable progress in Italy

At 21, Jacobo Ramón enjoyed a successful first season in Serie A with Como, scoring two goals in 32 appearances. His performances attracted the attention of several English clubs, who had already shown an interest in him during the previous summer transfer window. Como ultimately managed to keep their defender. This season, Ramón has scored one goal in six matches in all competitions.

Real Madrid are reportedly considering bringing the young Spaniard back to prepare for the succession of 33-year-old Antonio Rüdiger in their defence. This move would allow the Madrid club to invest in a player developed in-house who has already gained experience in the Italian league.
