Real Madrid: Raúl Asencio defends Vinicius Jr

Although he has been less effective for several months, Vinicius Jr continues to enjoy the full confidence of his teammates at Real Madrid.

Indeed, in an interview with AS in recent hours, centre-back Raúl Asencio (23, 34 appearances and 2 goals in all competitions during the 2025-2026 season) defended the Brazilian winger. Raúl Asencio is convinced that his teammate will soon return to his best level.

🚨 Raúl Asencio: “I made some mistakes out of the pitch, but I’m improving. I am changing. Who doesn’t make mistakes?”. “Real Madrid has given me everything despite whatever has happened. I'll give everything for Madrid”, told @diarioas. https://t.co/a73g14HZCi

“Vini is Vini and he always will be. He has something special. Everyone loves him in the dressing room. Absolutely everyone. It's incredible. But players are not robots, we are human beings. He may no longer be the Vinicius of two years ago, but he will come back, because we see what he does every day,” said the Spaniard.
