Real Madrid: Rodri on the verge of an agreement with Florentino Pérez
Fresh off an outstanding 2026 World Cup triumph with Spain, Manchester City midfielder Rodri has clearly impressed José Mourinho and Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants are set to go on the offensive in this summer transfer window. Initially hesitant about pursuing the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner, Madrid president Florentino Pérez is now reportedly "much more open" to bringing the Spanish international to the Bernabéu. That's according to journalist Matteo Moretto.
For his part, the former Atletico Madrid man has already given the green light to the Merengues and is edging closer to a contract agreement with Los Blancos. However, as things stand, the club led by Florentino Pérez has yet to open negotiations with City over a transfer for Rodri, who is currently under contract until June 2027.
