Real Madrid: surgery announced for Raúl Asencio (Official)

After being hampered by a fissure in his right tibia for nine months, Raúl Asencio will now undergo surgery.

Real Madrid announced the bad news on Wednesday. The central defender, who has never managed to get rid of his pain despite conservative treatment and numerous specific exercises, will undergo surgery tomorrow, Thursday.

"Our player Raúl Asencio will undergo surgery tomorrow due to a stress fracture in the tibia of his right leg," the White House announced. According to information from Marca, the procedure is expected to keep him out for between two and three months.
