Real Madrid: the Mbappé camp says no!
Real Madrid: the Mbappé camp says no!

The situation surrounding Kylian Mbappé continues to generate internal tensions at Real Madrid. Sidelined with a left knee injury, the French striker is currently following a recovery protocol that is far from unanimous between the Madrid club and the player’s entourage. Yesterday, Real Madrid released an official statement regarding their star’s fitness.

But behind this measured press release, tensions are reportedly running higher than they appear. According to Spanish radio outlet Cadena SER, Madrid’s management believes the French international could return to action in about three weeks. The aim: to have him available for the Champions League round of 16 second leg against Manchester City.

The Mbappé camp, however, doesn’t share this assessment. The French captain’s entourage considers the injury more serious than initially announced and wishes to take a much more cautious approach. This divergence of opinion has created a genuine rift between the player and his club, at a time when every physical detail is crucial with major competitions looming—especially with the World Cup kicking off in exactly 99 days.
