Real Madrid: the truth behind Mbappé’s trip to Paris

During the last international break, Kylian Mbappé’s trip to Paris sparked numerous questions in Spain. In recent hours, a revelation has emerged.

Injured, Kylian Mbappé had been spotted in the French capital, notably at an evening event with his partner Ester Expósito. This getaway prompted widespread criticism in the Spanish press. Several people questioned the reasons for Mbappé’s presence in Paris in the middle of his recovery.

Mbappé in Paris for legal matters

According to L’Équipe, the trip was primarily related to a legal matter. The France captain had indeed gone to the offices of the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN) to be questioned as part of the Mohamed Sanhadji case, involving the former head of security for the French national team. It should be noted that investigators are seeking to shed light on the personal and financial relationships maintained for several years between the former police officer and Mbappé’s entourage.

Mbappé’s trip to Cameroon under investigation

The investigation is focusing on several financial transactions and services provided by Mohamed Sanhadji. The authorities are looking into a €60,300 donation made by Mbappé in June 2023 from his 2022 World Cup bonuses, as well as a €120,000 loan requested by the former police officer, who cited alleged financial difficulties. His presence alongside the player during a family trip to Cameroon in July 2023 is also being investigated.
