Real Madrid: Thiago Pitarch opens the door to Morocco call-up
After Achraf Hakimi and Brahim Diaz, Morocco could soon welcome another Spanish-trained talent in the form of Thiago Pitarch, a rising star at Real Madrid.
In recent years, Morocco has made a habit of tapping into the rich Spanish talent pool to strengthen its national team. After already winning over several players born and developed in Spain, the Atlas Lions could soon secure the services of Thiago Pitarch, a promising midfielder currently playing for Real Madrid.

Pitarch is eligible for Morocco through his paternal grandfather, opening the door to a potential call-up for the African nation. Asked about the prospect by Cadena SER, the youngster did not rule out the possibility:
"First, I want to win on Saturday, and then we'll see. Whatever has to happen is still a long way off. For now, I'm focused on the U19 Euros and then we'll see."
A cautious response, but one that gives the Moroccan federation genuine hope.
