Yesterday, Real Madrid delivered a commanding performance against Valencia at the Santiago Bernabéu. But the perfect evening was marred by an unexpected twist.

After netting a brace on Saturday night, Kylian Mbappé wanted to show some generosity by letting Vinicius take a penalty. However, the Brazilian missed. Cameras immediately captured Xabi Alonso's tense reaction, visibly furious on the bench.

During the post-match press conference, the coach tried to defuse the situation: "It was about the miss, not the taker. We assign our penalty takers and Mbappé is the first; but then... they make decisions. I like penalties to be converted. Kylian scored the first, and I would have liked the second to go in as well.
