Real Madrid: Vinicius Jr still demands a fortune
This Monday, Vinicius Jr returned to training with Real Madrid. The Brazilian was back at the Valdebebas training center.
Despite strong interest from Arsenal, who are ready to put up €150 million to lure Vinicius Jr away, the Brazilian remains at Real Madrid, where his contract runs until 2027. However, both the player and the club have yet to reach an agreement on a contract extension after months of negotiations. Los Merengues have made it clear that they won't be making a new offer—he must either accept the current terms or leave this summer.
For his part, Vinicius Jr believes he deserves a bigger paycheck. In recent hours, AS revealed the salary demands of the player, who is represented by Roc Nation. Vinicius Jr is asking for €20 million per year, up from his current €15 million per season (his salary is progressive; he started at €10 million and will earn €18 million in his final year).

Vinicius Jr had initially demanded €30 million per year, but lowered his expectations while Real Madrid improved their offer. However, it's still not enough for the Brazilian, who is also seeking several bonuses. AS reports that he wants a signing bonus upon extending his contract and is pushing to secure nearly all of his image rights, just as Kylian Mbappé currently enjoys. That would amount to a fortune.
