Reports from ESPN revealed that Real Madrid has been working for months to renew Vinicius Junior's contract, and during the World Cup, Real Madrid offered the player a net salary of 22 million euros. However, the Brazilian wants a salary of 30 million euros net of taxes, according to what he told his representatives to negotiate with the club.

The Brazilian's contract with Real Madrid ends in June 2027, and with one year remaining on his contract with Los Blancos, there are many clubs planning to sign him, including Arsenal, which is one of the most prominent clubs that wants to sign the player.

Johnny Calafat is leading the renewal process

Juni Calafat is the Madrid executive pushing for Vinícius Júnior's renewal, according to sources.

A club source told ESPN that a meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, while another source close to the player confirmed that talks will take place this week.

Vinícius currently earns around €17.5 million per year as he enters the final year of his contract.

If he does not sign a new deal, the Brazilian winger could leave the Bernabéu on a free transfer at the end of the season and would be eligible to sign a pre-contract with another club starting in January.
