Real Madrid wraps up its first signing!
Without waiting for the elections, Real Madrid seals its first summer transfer with the arrival of Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan.
Real Madrid isn't wasting any time. While the club's presidential elections are set for this Sunday, Florentino Pérez has already made the first move in the transfer window by activating Denzel Dumfries' release clause. The Dutch right-back leaves Inter Milan for €20 million and completed his medical this week while on international duty.
This deal was wrapped up quickly. Mourinho himself is said to have approved the player's arrival, speeding up negotiations. Dumfries, 30, is set to sign a four-year contract with Los Blancos.
His mission is clear: succeed Dani Carvajal and challenge Trent Alexander-Arnold for the top spot on the right flank. The Madrid transfer market is off to a flying start.
