The former FC Barcelona and Brazil number 10, Ronaldinho, could soon add a new chapter to his illustrious career. And this time, it will be far from the football pitch.

According to information from L’Équipe, Ronaldinho has officially made a move to take over AS Monaco Basket. The former Brazilian international is partnering with the Andorran investment fund Clayton Sport, which has submitted a letter of intent to Monaco's executive director Oleksiy Yefimov.

This project comes at a particularly challenging financial moment for the Principality's club, which must quickly find a solution to maintain its place in the Betclic Élite. The offer led by Ronaldinho and Clayton Sport is reportedly highly ambitious.

It should be noted that the project includes settling the €2.5 million debt owed to the EuroLeague, as well as providing the €5 million bank guarantee required by the DNCCG. The investors are also considering a commitment of three to five years, with potential investments reaching up to €10 million per season.

Ronaldinho could contribute financially to the project and take on a significant role in this new venture, which would mark a major shift for the former FC Barcelona genius, far more accustomed to the football pitch than the basketball court.
