Ruben Amorim has apparently set his sights on yet another target, with Milan gearing up to spend big on their midfield.

AC Milan sets sights on Alex Scott

Word out of Tuttomercatoweb is that the Rossoneri have genuine interest in Bournemouth's Alex Scott. The 23-year-old England international has caught the eye of Milan's hierarchy, and Amorim in particular is a real fan of what the lad brings — he reckons Scott could be exactly what the team's engine room needs.

In fact, Milan see him as someone who could eventually fill the shoes of Luka Modric. They were even ready to send scouts out to watch him during England's international fixtures, but that plan got shelved after Scott picked up a thigh injury, which came right after his first senior start against Croatia.

There's a catch, though — Milan aren't alone in this race. Chelsea and Arsenal are both keeping close tabs on the Englishman, and his price tag just keeps creeping up. Bournemouth, for their part, reportedly won't even entertain offers below €50 million, and with more clubs sniffing around, that figure could climb even higher.

Scott made the move to Bournemouth from Bristol City back in August 2023 and has since grown into one of their most prized midfield assets. He's comfortable sitting deep or pushing further up the pitch. And his CV isn't bad either — he helped England win the Under-19 European Championship in 2022, followed by the Under-21 title in 2025.
