SCO Angers wants to sign Karl Toko-Ekambi: What are the details?

Karl Toko-Ekambi has emerged as a target for several European clubs, including Paris FC and Rayo Vallecano, though his wage demands appear to be a major stumbling block for these potential suitors.

SCO Angers is also attempting to sign the Indomitable Lions forward before the transfer window closes to bolster their attacking options. Having been present at the Stade Raymond Kopa for the opening match of the French league season, Toko-Ekambi received a verbal offer from the club’s president to make a return to Angers.

The Cameroonian international, currently a free agent after his contract with Al Ettifaq ended, has not ruled out the possibility of rejoining the club where he first made his name. The 32-year-old experienced striker, who has previously played for Villarreal and Olympique Lyonnais and is an Africa Cup of Nations champion from 2017, remains on the transfer market as he awaits his next career move—which could still be in Europe. The Paris-born player is currently valued at €2 million by Transfermarkt.
