The British daily also reports that Everton are closely following Pape Gueye’s situation, while Manchester United had already made enquiries about him back in April.

Meanwhile, Sport News Africa reports that the Senegalese Football Federation is considering disciplinary action against the player, though no official decision has yet been made.

This situation follows the surprise announcement by Pape Gueye, who decided to put his international career on hold due to disagreements with the Lions of Teranga coach, Pape Thiaw.

In a message posted on his Instagram account, the midfielder stated: “I’ll come back to say a few words regarding the elimination… but for now, I’m announcing that as long as this technical staff is in place, I will be taking a break from the national team.”
