After being presented on Friday, September 18 as the head coach of the Lions of Teranga, Patrick Vieira has begun his work. The squad includes 07 new players.

07 first-time call-ups

Patrick Vieira has broadened his options by bringing in new blood. For the first time, the following players have been called up: Malang Sarr (RC Lens), Lamine Sy (AJ Auxerre), Sadibou Sané (AS Monaco), Ngan Demba, Issa Soumaré (Stade Rennais), Thiam (goalkeeper, AC Monza), Mamour Ndiaye (AS Saint-Étienne) and Pape Moussa Fall (FC Metz).

A squad combining continuity and renewal

This squad confirms the absence of Édouard Mendy, who recently retired from international football. Krépin Diatta is also absent, as is Senegal legend Sadio Mané, who has made a good start to the season with Al-Nassr.

Patrick Vieira is relying on key players such as Kalidou Koulibaly, Pape Gueye, Idrissa Gueye and Pape Matar Sarr, who delivered an impressive performance at the World Cup.
