Spanish reports have revealed major twist in the future of İlkay Gundogan with the Manchester City midfielder potentially on his way out this summer despite having 1 year left on his contract.

The 34 year old German still has deal with City until 30 June 2026 having returned to the club in summer 2024 after brief but impressive stint at Barcelona.

However according to Mundo Deportivo, City may consider parting ways with Gundogan following noticeable dip in form during the 2024 /25 campaign.

Galatasaray Move on the Cards?

The same report claims that Galatasaray could be the likely destination should Gundogan leave during the current transfer window. Speculation intensified after his wife was spotted in Turkey although she publicly denied any transfer related visits , insisting they were simply on family trip to visit the player's parents.

In the 2024 /25 season, Gundogan featured in 54 match across all competitions for Man City, scoring 5 goal & providing 8 assist.
