South Africa: Hugo Broos will get a one-year contract extension for Bafana Bafana!
Hugo Broos appears set to continue as Bafana Bafana head coach through to next year's Africa Cup of Nations.
Although Broos' contract with the national team has officially expired, the South African Football Association (Safa) are reportedly eager to keep him on for an additional year, which would see him remain in charge until the next Afcon tournament.
However, Safa are said to be divided on the matter, as they have also begun exploring the possibility of replacing the Belgian tactician, who is currently in his home country.
Broos has told media outlets in Belgium that he will return to South Africa this week to hold further discussions with Safa regarding the role they intend to offer him.
Previously, Broos had stated that he was no longer the Bafana coach, but Safa later moved to deny those claims.
It remains to be seen what will emerge from the upcoming talks, though Safa are believed to be hoping to hand him a one-year extension at the helm of Bafana Bafana.
