Spain: Dani Carvajal sends a strong message to Luis de la Fuente
Having recently signed for Getafe, Dani Carvajal is ready to make his return to the Spanish national team.
Dani Carvajal has clearly not turned his back on the Spanish national team. At 34, the right-back has just joined Getafe until June 30, 2027. This comes notably after his departure from Real Madrid. Carvajal still hopes to return to La Roja one day.
Carvajal determined to play for La Roja again
Despite his recent absence, Dani Carvajal, who has 51 caps, remains determined to represent his country once again. That is, provided he returns to his best level.

In an interview reported by Marca, Carvajal said he had followed Spain’s run at the 2026 World Cup with passion, not missing a single match. Spain is therefore refusing to definitively close the door on a return. “I will never say that I will never wear the national team shirt again. I will never refuse to wear it again,” he said.
A clear message sent to head coach Luis de la Fuente.
