As Spain prepares to kick off their 2026 World Cup campaign, Kaká has heaped praise on Lamine Yamal.

Spain and Lamine Yamal are set to face Cape Verde tomorrow in their opening match of the 2026 World Cup. Appearing on Rio Ferdinand's podcast, Kaká discussed the young Roja star. According to him, Lamine Yamal is following in the footsteps of Neymar during his time at FC Barcelona.

"Lamine reminds me of Neymar. He looks more like Neymar at his peak. These are the kind of players who make you want to sit down and watch a match just to see what they're capable of," he told the former England international.

The former AC Milan star also touched on the case of Cole Palmer: "He's my favorite English player, because of his freedom in transitions and his simplicity on the ball."
