Spain: Lamine Yamal knows where he wants to play in the future

Currently a right winger at FC Barcelona, Lamine Yamal has his sights set further ahead.

In an interview with El País, Lamine Yamal revealed that he envisions himself as a number 10, playing through the center. He cited Messi as a tactical inspiration for this positional shift.

"In the future, I see myself developing as an attacking midfielder, as a number 10! [...] Over time, I'll move into that area because when you play on the wing, it's easier for opponents to mark you with three players, whereas in the center, they can't do that." said the Spanish international.

In the same interview with El País, Yamal also defended Spain with remarkable composure after the draw against Cape Verde, a testament to a maturity well beyond his years.
