Spain: Lamine Yamal ruled out, Barça responds
Lamine Yamal

Lamine Yamal is making headlines this Tuesday in Spain. Hours after being ruled out of the Spanish national team squad, FC Barcelona has issued a response.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) expressed surprise on Tuesday after learning that Lamine Yamal had undergone medical treatment for his pubalgia. This treatment reportedly took place on Monday, without Barça notifying the national team staff. However, the Catalan club tells a different story.

According to the Spanish press, Barça insists that they have consistently kept the RFEF updated on the winger's injury status, as well as any related procedures. In any case, Lamine Yamal is officially ruled out and will not take part in the matches against Georgia and Turkey on November 15 and 18, as part of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
