Süper Lig: Sivasspor loses Fodé Koita before Adana Demirspor
A major blow for Sivasspor just days before the clash against Adana Demirspor! Guinean forward Fodé Koita is forced to withdraw from the 29th round of the Süper Lig due to an injury sustained during training.
Fodé Koita will not be available for the match between Sivasspor and Adana Demirspor in the Süper Lig this Saturday, March 29, at the Yeni Sivas 4 Eylül Stadium. During the training session in preparation for the match against Adana Demirspor, the Guinean player felt muscle discomfort in the left posterior muscle. Subsequent medical examinations confirmed a muscle tear. This was confirmed by the Sivas club in an official statement released this Wednesday, March 26.
“Our footballer Fode Koita, injured during the training organized the day before as part of the preparations for the Adana Demirspor match, was diagnosed with a tear in the left posterior muscle during the MRI,” wrote Sivasspor.
Sivasspor is therefore deprived of one of its key forwards for the reception of the Turkish league's bottom team. Fode Koita has played 20 matches this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
