Swiss clubs are in talks with Messi
Rayane Messi’s future could be written in Switzerland. Lacking playing time at Strasbourg, the young Cameroonian winger is in talks with FC Lucerne, who are keen to bring him in on loan.
Strasbourg wants to see him develop
Under contract until 2030, Rayane Messi is not expected to break into the first team this season. The Alsatian club therefore favors a loan move to give him regular minutes and help him continue his development. According to reports from France, FC Lucerne is currently the frontrunner for his signature. The two clubs are discussing a loan deal, with a possible purchase option on the table.
Standard Liège and KV Mechelen remain interested as well, but the player is reportedly attracted by the prospect of playing in the Swiss Super League. Negotiations between Strasbourg and Lucerne are ongoing. If the final details are ironed out, Rayane Messi (19) could soon join the Swiss championship to reignite his career.
