The transfer window is officially open in the Premier League and Ligue 1
The summer transfer window has officially kicked off in England and France. As of June 15, Premier League and Ligue 1 clubs are now able to register their new signings, whether permanent transfers or loan deals.
This opening signals the true start of what promises to be a particularly lively period, even with all eyes currently on the 2026 World Cup. Other major European leagues will have to wait a bit longer. Serie A opens its transfer market on June 29, while both the Bundesliga and La Liga will give the green light for transactions starting July 1.
As for the closing of the transfer window, Germany will be the first to shut its doors on August 31. France and Italy will follow on September 1, with Spain and England closing just a few hours later. The coming weeks are set to be filled with official announcements, intense negotiations, and major moves as European clubs look to bolster their squads ahead of the new season.
