These 5 African stars without a contract are looking for a new challenge this summer

Several African stars still find themselves without a club for one reason or another and are open to a new challenge.

These players have yet to find a landing spot and must be proactive during this summer transfer window. Here are the 5 Africans available on a free transfer:

Bamba Dieng

The Senegalese forward was not offered a contract extension by Lorient. He leaves Les Merlus with a record of 23 goals and 2 assists in 60 appearances.

At one point, he was rumored to be close to Nice, but ultimately failed to secure a deal with Les Aiglons, who were reportedly concerned that his recurring injuries could hamper his performances.

Franck Kessié

Unattached since the end of his adventure in Saudi Arabia, Franck Kessié still doesn't know where he will play next season. The Ivorian midfielder enjoyed three strong seasons, scoring 26 goals and providing 15 assists in 119 matches.

The 29-year-old is aiming for a return to the old continent, with a preference for Serie A, where he previously shone with AC Milan. Juventus and Roma have both been mentioned as possible destinations.

Yves Bissouma

After four seasons with the Spurs, the captain of Mali's Eagles has decided to turn the page. Inconsistent and often facing off-field issues, Bissouma lost his status as an undisputed starter last season, managing just 7 starts in the Premier League.

Brighton and Coventry are among the suitors for the Malian midfielder, who could thus stay in England while embarking on a new chapter with a different club.

Ismaël Bennacer

After loan spells at Marseille and Dinamo Zagreb, the Algerian has packed his bags. He is no longer an AC Milan player, having made 178 appearances (8 goals, 12 assists) for the Rossoneri.

Krépin Diatta
