According to the outlet Ovación, the Ecuadorian federation is evaluating several profiles after the departure of Sebastián Beccacece. Bielsa is reportedly among the top candidates to spark a revival for a team searching for a bold new project.

Bielsa's departure from Uruguay comes after a disappointing World Cup campaign, marked by an early exit in the group stage. Despite this setback, the 71-year-old coach remains highly regarded across South America.
