Thomas Meunier on the verge of joining Hull City

Thomas Meunier could soon be embarking on a new league adventure. According to transfer specialist Sacha Tavolieri, the Belgian right-back is in advanced talks with Hull City, who have just secured promotion to the Premier League.

Having joined Lille on a free transfer in the summer of 2024, the 34-year-old defender quickly established himself as a key figure in the northern club's squad. Over the past season, he featured in 25 Ligue 1 matches, starting 21 of them, scoring once and providing two assists.

With his contract at LOSC set to expire at the end of June, Hull City are looking to seize the opportunity to sign the experienced Belgian international. The English club, who clinched promotion by winning the Championship play-offs against Middlesbrough, are reported to have already started concrete negotiations. Thomas Meunier is said to be open to a move to the newly promoted English side.
