A Saudi Arabian club have submitted an official €60 million bid for Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, with the transfer now edging towards completion. According to insider Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, negotiations have entered their final phase.

The 28-year-old Dutchman has fallen out of favour since Enzo Maresca took charge, and City have placed him on the transfer list, signalling their openness to offers. Newcastle and Nottingham Forest had previously expressed interest, but the €50 million asking price proved too steep for Premier League suitors to match.

City's Overhaul Opens Door for Saudi Move

For City, this sale forms part of a broader squad reshuffle: the club have already offloaded Rodri to Barcelona and are preparing a record-breaking £120 million swoop for Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez. Reijnders simply does not feature in the new manager's plans, and the Saudi offer allows the Citizens to turn a profit on his departure.

The Dutch international joined City from Milan in the summer of 2025 for €55 million plus add-ons, following a stellar Serie A campaign in which he established himself as one of the league's most productive midfielders.

However, he never cemented a regular role in England, with his minutes gradually diminishing over time. His contract runs until 2030, and Transfermarkt currently values the Netherlands international at €50 million.
