Assane Souleymane Ouédraogo takes a significant step forward in his young career. The Burkinabe centre-back has signed with FK Čukarički in Serbia’s top division.
Assane Souleymane Ouedraogo has penned a three-year deal with FK Čukarički, tying him to the club until 2029. The 20-year-old centre-back will now experience top-flight Serbian football. A product of FC San Pedro, he leaves the United States after a strong season with Crown Legacy FC in MLS NEXT Pro, where he made 40 appearances, scored 2 goals, and provided 1 assist.
After this American stint, he joins one of the most ambitious clubs in the Serbian SuperLiga. It's a new milestone for the young defender, who is eager to prove his development and consistency. Having made a name for himself by participating in the first two editions of the TalentMax YOUTH League (U18), one of the biggest scouting tournaments in Burkina Faso, Ouédraogo continues his rise in Europe.
At 20, the left-footer can also fill in on the left flank. FK Čukarički is counting on his modern profile and versatility to bolster their back line.
